Prepare the companys monthly accounting reports, related account reconciliations, and lead the local treasury/A/R/A/P/FA/Tax management activities and fixed assets. Prepare accurate and timely journal entries and monthly account reports to various departments. Ensure accounts payable to various parts and materials vendors are cleared and settled in a timely manner. Work with and support other accounting specialists. Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures. Identify and develop accurate cost estimates for various projects or products by considering factors such as materials, labor, overhead, and other expenses. Work with sales team to prepare estimates and bids for clients. Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify areas of improvement, cost-saving opportunities, and potential risks. Work closely with engineering, procurement, production, and other departments to gather necessary information, ensure accurate cost estimation, and confer on changes and adjustments to cost estimates. Consult with clients, vendors, and managers in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Assist in developing pricing strategies by considering cost estimates, market conditions, and competitive factors. Prepare cost reports for engineering management, highlighting cost variances, trends, and recommendations for cost optimization. Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components. Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of cost estimation methods. Monitor and track actual costs against estimated costs to assess accuracy and make necessary adjustments. Assist in financial forecasting by providing reliable cost estimates for future projects or product lines.
