Why You Will Love this Job: Rehlko is looking for a Staff Engineer - Advanced Development, Software to develop new control and monitoring algorithms for power conversion and generation, as well as high-level system controls. You will be a technical expert in software and controls, involved in reviews and troubleshooting issues across the business. Specific Responsibilities * Design and implement predictive maintenance algorithms to improve system reliability and decrease cost of ownership. * Develop controls in Simulink and utilize automatic code generation to deploy C++ code. * Design and implement feedback and model predictive control algorithms to meet performance and robustness requirements. * Validate new algorithms in simulated environments and on hardware. * Deploy new algorithms to rapid prototyping platforms and production intent hardware. * Integrate new designs into existing code bases. * Develop internal PC-based tools to aid internal customers in design work. * Develop and train machine learning models for embedded applications. * Implement best design practices for code development. * Assist the verification team by clarifying specifications and requirements as issues arise during testing. * Assist test engineering in the initial specification of equipment and procedures for production testing. * Assist manufacturing and test teams in resolving design-related problems during production. * Assist the product support group in adding features and maintaining functional specifications as the product matures. Requirements * Bachelor\'s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution (Master\'s degree preferred) * 5+ years of work experience, depending on educational background * Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems or electronics simulations * Working knowledge of one or more of the following: electrical machines, power electronics, engines * Strong technical experience with Matlab, Simulink, and C++ * Experience developing voltage and current regulation control systems is preferred * Experience deploying code to NXP processors and using the IDE Keil is preferred * Experience with Simulink Embedded Coder is preferred * Experience with Speedgoat or other rapid control prototyping platforms is preferred * Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills * Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, I2C, and SPI * Strong communication skills * High level of motivation and ability to collaborate effectively in a team and independently to achieve desired results The salary range for this position is \$98,900 - \$125,600.
