Applied Materials Supplier Engineer - Installation Facilitation in Shanghai, China

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads the supplier technical audit process, evaluates supplier performance and capabilities, and drives continuous improvement opportunities at the supplier site and Customer Fabs.

  • Leads quality problem resolutions and incident management, drive root cause and correction action.Identifies and drives broad-based systemic supplier resolutions at the process level.

  • Perform Supplier qualification of new and existing suppliers.

  • Utilize enterprise-wide software to adjudicate and document quality issues, specifically, Containment, Root Cause, Corrective Action, and Corrective Action Verification.

  • Help train suppliers, engage in process audits, and promote sound testing methodologies using corporate compliances and industry standards for guidance.

  • Support in developing, documenting, and executing the worldwide Applied's Quality Management System and industry-standard documentation as reference material.

  • Interacts with Field Support Organization (FSO) and Customer Quality Engineers (CQE) on Facilitation Installation Supplier issues.

  • Train/Manage Suppliers on Workmanship Standards, Cosmetic, IPC-620 standards, Crimp & Pull-test equipment for AC cable Installation, Facility Electrical Hookup, Install Support, Cooling Systems Hookup, Safety Support, Modules Connection (non-electrical), Chamber docking, Preventative Maintenance.

Required: English language oral & written

Preferred: 6 Sigma Black Belt, Certified ISO 9000, 14001 & 45001 Auditor, IPC 620 trained and Multilingual.

Preferred Education: Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or Business Management Bachelor's degree.
