Amazon Senior Industry BD Manager in Shanghai, China

Description

We are looking for a candidate who is customer-oriented, pursues excellence, and always eager to learn. As a senior business development manager, he/she will be responsible for the development of new business opportunities for Amazon Business in China, e.g. the MRO (Maintenance, Repair &Operations). He/she needs to pursue and convert top customers, e.g. listed companies, large factories, top Chinese brands, etc. His/her work will cover from driving sales leads, to conversion, to seller onboarding, growth and in-year management. Internally, he/she will cooperate with many stakeholders, e.g. the China Regional Development team, Marketing team, etc., as well as communicate with the global product and program team; externally, he/she needs to have CXO-level influence capabilities, communicating skills with governments, associations, service providers, etc. He/she not only needs to complete personal sales goals, but also needs to share his knowledge and know-how to more colleagues and empower the growth of junior colleagues; he/she should be an expert in category development, and there are also opportunities to undertake some team projects, such as Industry Cluster Development, Sales Skills Training, etc. Excellent communication skills, delivery ability, data mining sense and analysis skills, cross-teams collaboration and influence, and the ability to persist in innovation and simplification, etc. are crucial to the success of his/her position.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Explore new business opportunities for Amazon Business China

  2. Pursue and convert top customers, i.e. listed company, mega manufacturer, CN top brand, bring them onboard Amazon Business

  3. End to end take care of leads generation, conversion, seller onboarding, seller growth, take responsibility for seller recruitment and seller success

  4. Explore business development methods, optimize and maximum team efficiency from channels, workflow, tools development, etc. perspectives

  5. Attend or organize internal cross-teams, external partner and global stakeholders collaboration, leverage these resource to drive AB success in China

  6. Lead regular or ad-hoc business deep dive and analysis to generate strategic insights and support management decision

  7. Complete other assignments from leadership team

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional or military experience

  • Experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements and leading cross-functional groups to orchestrate and successfully complete deals

  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units

  • Experience working with technical and product stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and influence product roadmaps
