Currently we are hiring Researcher for MSRA in Beijing and Shanghai.

MSRA

Founded in 1998, Microsoft Research Asia (MSR Asia, or MSRA) is the largest Microsoft Research lab outside the United States. More than 300 researchers and engineers located in Beijing and Shanghai are working on state-of-the-art technologies every day to solve the most challenging problems in computing and its interdisciplinary areas. At the same time, MSR Asia plays a vital role in accelerating region’s transformation and growth through innovation, which is driven in broad and deep engagement with academic communities and industry partners. Our partners include top universities, research institutes and large enterprises in markets including China-mainland, Hongkong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea and Singapore. Responsibilities

  • You will research and develop an understanding of insights tools, and technologies being used in the research community. You’ll contribute knowledge around several specialized tools to support planning for research projects.

  • You will bring a research project to successful completion, yielding new insights which solve one or more research problems. You’ll learn and follow ethics and privacy policies and help develop technologies that uphold company values.

  • You will establish collaborative relationships with relevant product or business groups and provideexpertise to them. You’llparticipate in technology transfer attempts and collaborate with team members to contribute to existing work.

  • You will support mentorship by assisting with onboarding. You’ll help guide research interns and other entry-level team members.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in relevant field AND 1+ year(s) related research experience

o OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctorate in relevant field

o OR equivalent experience.

  • Experience publishing academic papers as a lead author or essential contributor.

  • Experience participating in a top conference in relevant research domain.
