Description

Johnson & Johnson China is recruiting a Director, Third Party Intermediary Ethics & Compliance (TPEC) China, located in Shanghai or Beijing.

Third Party Intermediaries (TPIs), who transact or interact with healthcare professionals or government officials in relation to the business relationship with J&J, are considered to be one of the highest priorities for addressing compliance risks. TPEC enables our J&J business teams to engage and retain the right TPIs by providing industry-leading processes and expert advice to effectively and efficiently manage TPI ethics and compliance risk.

J&J is currently seeking an experienced professional to provide (i) direct oversight for complex elements of TPI risk management program in China on cross-sector basis, (ii) development and implementation of TPI DD system and process, including facilitation of robust Red Flag management and resolution, and (iii) implementation of education / training program, and TPI monitoring plan, including TPI on-site visits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement enhanced TPI risk management programs in China on cross-sector basis by:

1) deploying and enhancing robust TPI DD system & solutions applicable in China

2) establishing and implementing China specific enhanced DD processes and procedures

3) leading the implementation of TPI lifecycle management, including TPI monitoring initiatives, such as TPI on-site visits, risk mitigations, and data-based risk analysis in conjunction with regional and global related initiatives

4) providing consultation and advice to channel strategy and related business models in terms of TPI on-boarding and lifecycle management

5) performing assessment and providing guidance on TPI in/out of scope for DD in collaboration with the regional TPEC leaders

6) ensuring TPI related management action plans to be effective in resolving the root causes of the issues, and such actions plans are properly conducted and completed

  • Lead TPI risk-based red flag management in China on cross-sector basis by identifying, assessing and mitigating TPI risks through TPI Due Diligence process

  • Provide leadership, guidance and support to all levels of key business leadership on highly complex TPI risk management issues, including policy interpretation and requirement, compliance risk assessment, trend analysis and best practice recommendations

  • Enhance awareness and compliance mindset of the local stakeholders in terms of TPI risk management by designing and implementing effective education and training program which is relevant to the stakeholders’ day-to-days

  • Lead all direct reports by embracing diversity, equity and inclusion, and by fostering open communication, accountability and development

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA required

  • Advanced degree, such as Law, Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Project Management, Data Analytics or Masters in other relevant fields, preferred

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience (or equivalent) with exposure to legal, compliance, finance, operational audit, or other relevant business or operational functions in a multi-national company

  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and requirements, and relevant market practices

  • Proficient in Mandarin and English (strong reading, writing, and speaking skills and an ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels)

  • Self-directed, detail-oriented, proactive, and motivated personnel, able to demonstrate a high level of accountability, leadership, and ability to work through ambiguity

  • Strong collaboration and influential capabilities

  • Data analytics skills preferred

  • Travel percentage – 20% international and domestic travels
