Description

We are seeking a skilled Accounting Clerk to join our team in the Wholesale Distribution industry, located in Seymour, Connecticut. This role offers a contract employment opportunity where you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including processing customer credit applications, managing accounts payable and receivable, and other accounting duties.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process customer credit applications

• Maintain accurate customer credit records

• Monitor customer credit accounts

• Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Perform account reconciliation tasks

• Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Manage billing and invoice processing

• Perform data entry tasks as required

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial tasks

• Operate QuickBooks for accounting purposes.

Requirements • Must possess skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, Microsoft Excel, and QuickBooks.

• Familiarity with the Wholesale Distribution industry is preferred.

• Open to applicants with 0+ years of experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar.

• Should be comfortable with using computer systems for various tasks.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

• Must have high attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask are essential.

• Must possess problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new processes and systems.

• Degree in Accounting or related field is preferred but not required.

• Must comply with all company policies and procedures.

• Should be reliable and punctual.

• Must have a proactive approach towards tasks and responsibilities.

• Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Flexibility to work in different shifts if required.
