Job Description
The Engineering and Maintenance Manager role provides project management leadership along with equipment and facility maintenance/improvements as part of the leadership team. They lead the maintenance and engineering teams in all unplanned and preventive maintenance activities at the plant. They will also provide general departmental planning, scheduling, parts/supplies acquisition, and administration of maintenance programs. The position ensures that scheduled facility and process maintenance and repairs are completed, accurately and timely.

WHEN YOU JOIN US, YOU WILL:
Work to design, develop and implement corporate preventative and predictive maintenance systems.
Implement and optimize cost justified Predictive and Preventative Maintenance Strategies and Reliability Best Practices.
Administrate, maintain, and continuously improve the Electrical and Mechanical Preventative Maintenance system to improve safety, product quality, production efficiency and labor/material effectiveness. Evaluate systems and processes to seek out risk/improvement opportunities.
Facilitate Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), assess criticality ranking of existing Failure Modes, identify and design out the Root Causes of defects and develop Predictive and Preventive Strategies to reduce impact or detect defects early enough to correct before an unplanned failure.
Review Downtime data history to identify trends and repeat events leading up to failures as part of the methodology identifying root causes of failures in equipment and processes.
Assess and optimize the spare parts required to support the critical PM tasks developed from the RCM.
Evaluate justification of new technologies or inspection procedures to replace current instrumentation controls, sensors, drives, and other electrical components and inspection strategies.
Adhere to Health and Safety policies.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering
3+ years sales experience in related field
Financial acumen to optimize overall plant performance metrics at minimum cost.
Worked with electrical standards such as: IEEE, National Electric Code, NEMA, etc.
Leadership skills to manage diverse groups of people with varying levels of education, expertise, and skill-sets.
Experience with IBM Maximo (CMMS) implementations or other equivalent systems Operational experience.
Strong interpersonal skills to influence and drive results through others.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and JDE
