The Role

Kyndryl Consult mission’s is to accelerate the digital transformation and IT modernization agenda of global enterprises and government agencies, specifically focusing on designing modern infrastructure and operating models to enable the transformation and leverage cloud as a new delivery and service model.

Our consultants and architects assist clients to determine their business issues, recommend solutions and drive implementation to support business value. They use in-depth consulting skills, technology knowledge, industry frameworks, and best practices to assess client status and needs and help them define and implement the proper technology strategy to support their digital transformation.

This position is for experts with direct experience in Data platform strategy & architectures, with the capability to engage clients to assess their data strategy within the context of application transformation and adoption of Cloud as a new delivery and service model. The ideal candidate will have matured experience in the design of the target data platform and the most convenient transformation roadmap, including technology adoption and organization and process changes. The candidate will have also significant experience with data platforms built with hyper scaler or specific vendor technologies and be knowledgeable of the different data life-cycle stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maturity assessment on data platform architecture and data governance processes based on industry best practices and frameworks.

  • Lead data strategy and architecture workshops, with business and technical teams, to gather and formalize requirements, establish a transformation vision and define architectural principles and adoption guidelines to support the data platform modernization.

  • Drive discussion and “co-create” with clients’ stakeholders the high-level future state of the data platform architecture and recognize the implications at process, skills and organization levels.

  • Perform the gap analysis, based on selected use cases, and identify and prioritize the possible transformation initiatives

  • Support the creation of client business cases and ROI analysis

  • Support the technology evaluation and the design of project Statement of Work & RFP

  • Support sales and go-to-market organization with activities ranging from initial client exploratory meetings, gathering requirements, structuring solution bids and ramping up the team for execution

  • Lead the solution and implementation of the technical, functional & deployment architecture.

Who You Are

Required Professional and Technical expertise

Specific Professional skills:

  • 5+ years performing IT consulting engagements.

  • 3+ years of experience in consulting in Data Management architecture and services

  • Ability to assess and understand relevant customer business challenges and present solutions in business and technical terms.

  • Experience in implementing strategies for IT Strategy and Data and ability to engage in deep architectural discussions to build confidence and ensure customer success when building new solutions and migrating existing data applications onto Azure, AWS, or GCP platforms.

  • Demonstrated knowledge in Big Data, Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Data Supply Chain, and related technologies (e.g. Cloudera, Teradata, Data Stage, …) on-premise and on Cloud

  • Experience in migration of On-prem Enterprise Data Platform to Cloud-based Enterprise Data Platform

  • Demonstrate knowledge in Observability and Application Performance Management solutions with a focus on Elasticsearch and Dynatrace technologies.

  • Practical experience in capturing client requirements, mapping processes, conducting hypotheses-based analysis, creating business cases, evaluating and presenting solutions

  • Exceptional presentation skills with demonstrated executive engagement and proven ability to present strategic information to, and drive change across a broad range.

  • Impact on Business/Scope : Accountable for projects or programs involving multi-functional, country-wide or regional teams. Responsible for overall functional program success. Activities are subject to business measurements, impact customer satisfaction, and impact functional, business unit, or country costs or expenses.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Good experience and familiarity with Overall Data Architecture and guiding principles, best practices, and patterns

  • Knowledge on commercial and open-source Data management ecosystem

  • Experience in technologies covering areas like data fabric, commercial and hyperscaler data catalogs, data lake, data ingestion, real-time streaming, NoSQL, and multi-petabyte scale data platforms.

  • Experience with Data Visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Kibana, …).

  • Experience with Observability and APM technologies (e.g. Elastic, Dynatrace, …).

  • Experience with Machine Learning Model Deployment, Open Neural Network Exchange, ModelOps and LLMOps approach and methodologies.

  • Certifications preferred in Cloud Hyperscalers [AWS/Azure/GCP] in the areas of Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Machine Learning and AI Technology Architecture
