User Experience Designer II (2 SUBS) Our client Amazon is looking for a UX Designer to join their team for a 9 month contract, 40 hours per week, hybrid 2x per week in Seattle is preferred but remote is okay as well, 

Position Overview We are seeking a User Experience Designer II to join our team, focusing on enhancing the overall user experience of our products. The ideal candidate will work closely with highly technical teams to design intuitive and engaging user interfaces, ensuring that our designs meet user needs and business goals. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define user experience requirements and design solutions.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and inform design decisions.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that effectively communicate design concepts.
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders and users to improve usability and functionality.
  • Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to foster innovation in the design process.
  • Assess and optimize the performance of new and existing features by actively participating in usability testing and interpreting analytics data using industry standard tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Masters Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is required.
  • 4-6 years industry experience providing interaction design solutions for web and/or software applications.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design work and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in best practices for web-based information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques 
  • Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Figma, Balsamiq and Visio.
  • Ability to work with highly technical teams and understand technical constraints.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to work and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate design concepts and rationale.
  • A strong online portfolio demonstrating past work experience and relevant, user-centered design solutions is required.
