Washington State Department of Transportation Transportation Engineer Intern – Mechanical in Seattle, Washington
The Washington State Ferry (WSF) a Division of the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) currently seeking a Transportation Engineer Intern -- Mechanical to support the WSF Terminal Engineering Mechanical/Electrical Engineers in completing ferry terminal inspections. Work includes inspecting mechanical and electrical systems in the field, compiling the associated condition reports, documenting terminal hydraulic and cable system deficiencies, and designing repairs. This position will assist in the field by recording the condition with mechanical and electrical engineers and help to compile the report. While in the field you will work alongside both engineers and craftspersons who maintain the bridges in operating condition. This type of inspection helps to create a dialogue between maintenance and engineering about problems that impact the bridge's operation.
