Does that sound like you? The Opportunity with McKinstry We are adding a Technical Sales Engineering Associate to our growing Overcast team in Seattle. In this role, you will provide engineering support to the business development team through all phases of the sales process, support the development and continuous improvement of technical sales documentation and resources. Additional responsibilities include: Participates in discussions and meetings with contractors, architects, customers, and management Evaluates and communicates project risk Provides support to the customer with regards to projects financial, contractual and technical issues Establishes project requirements, evaluate proposed systems/equipment, and identifies appropriate product to meet customer needs Identifies whether an Engineering Impact Assessment is needed to develop a new finished good, assembly, or part to support the project requirements Evaluates costs and constructability issues in preparing estimates Documents project correspondence, issues, decisions, and directions Follows Overcast Engineering standards and procedures Contributes to tasks on multiple projects and timelines concurrently Delivers assigned projects on-time and in-budget Defines, communicates, and manages scope, design intent, and design process for direct supervisor review What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry OSHA 30 certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of assuming the position. 0 to 2 years of experience in a technical sales and engineering support role or other relevant experience Strong customer service, analytical, and interpersonal skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Independent/go-getter approach to work required Demonstrated organizational skills and a keen eye for detail required Curious and passionate about learning new skills required Ability to flex and pivot as needs and strategy dictate required Manufacturing or construction experience preferred Ability to work in a high-stress sales environment 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience required Working knowledge of PDF editing (Bluebeam or equivalent), Revit (BIM), and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software preferred.
