KPFF Consulting Engineers Structural Design Engineer - 2774 in Seattle, Washington

KPFF, Inc. is seeking a Structural Design Engineer for its Seattle, WA office. Job Duties: Assist with structural design engineering for heavy civil, structural, industrial, and waterfront infrastructure projects. Work under the supervision of a licensed senior engineer in support of a wide variety of challenging engineering projects including port developments, marine engineering, ferry terminals, shipyards, fish and wildlife facilities, naval facilities, small boat marinas, airports, municipal structures, floating structures, and design-build infrastructure. Provide structural design engineering support to senior engineers on unusual multi-discipline challenges that require a team-oriented approach. Provide guidance to support consultants including pre-stressed concrete and seismic design analysis, non-linear pushover analysis, and soil-structure interaction analysis. Perform analysis and create and model structural designs using ASCE 61-14, AASHTO, IBC, ASCE- 7, AISC, ACI, and NDS, as well as SAP2000, L-Pile, MS Excel, and VBA. May telecommute up to 3 days a week. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, plus two years of experience in: Analyzing, creating, and modeling structural designs using ASCE 61-14, AASHTO, IBC, ASCE-7, AISC, ACI, and NDS, as well as SAP2000, and MS Excel. Working on structural bridge design concepts for bridge substructure elements utilizing AASHTO LRFD or a comparable design code. Working on structural wall design concepts utilizing AASHTO LRFD or a comparable design code. Coordinating project tasks with multi-disciplinary teams to generate design drawings and review of shop drawings. Salary range: 102,200 - $104,400.
