Staff Software Development Engineer for Coupang Global LLC in Seattle, WA to build and maintain large-scale distributed systems, providing technical directions to junior engineers on the team. Establish and execute short- and long-term design and architectural roadmaps for business, innovate on the platform to support Rocket-on-Demand (ROD) programs and drive continual improvement to the efficiency and flexibility of business platform while maintaining a high bar for customer trust, performance and availability. Lead building of complex software systems, communicate with stakeholders, technical teams and senior management to collect requirements and describe software product features, technical designs and product strategy. Provide software engineering best practices to team and deliver innovative, simple, and scalable solutions. Requires: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or Engineering (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus six (6) years of experience designing, developing, enhancing and troubleshooting scalable distributed cloud-based software. Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative experience requirement not applicable to this section unless otherwise stated) -- must possess the following: Employing effective solutions and state-of-the-art technology to design and implement software using Java, Python, JavaScript and HTML; Building data pipelines using Dynamo DB, QLDB, Hive and Elastic Search; Implementing distributed systems by leveraging stream data processing technologies using Kafka (6 years); and Debugging code to fix bugs, applying knowledge of inventory and warehousing, shipping and order fulfilment and accounting business processes (6 years). Salary Range: $218,700.00 $324,000.00/year.
