Description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager (Sr. TPM) to join our Supply Chain Automation team. This role will drive high-visibility, large-scale, innovative system solutions for our AIS supply chain systems used to fulfill server and networking racks globally. As the Sr. TPM, you will act as the business leader to identify improvements for our AIS Supply Chain fulfillment and replenishment systems, while scoping design requirements in close partnership with business stakeholders and Software Development teams. You will drive delivery of large-scale system improvements and lead end-to-end technical program management to improve our supply chain systems.

In this role, you'll have the freedom to think big and challenge conventional approaches to supply chain automation. We encourage innovative thinking and experimentation with cutting-edge solutions. You'll have the opportunity to shape the future of AWS's infrastructure delivery by implementing revolutionary solutions that operate at unprecedented scale.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical program management experience, with a background in complex electronic manufacturing supply chains. You should have a proven ability to drive complex cross-functional initiatives and experience partnering with software development teams to deliver impactful results. This role offers an opportunity to significantly impact AIS's global supply chain efficiency and effectiveness through innovative technical solutions, working at the forefront of cloud infrastructure technology.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead technical program management for server and networking hardware fulfillment, working closely with software development teams and business stakeholders

• Drive end-to-end project execution including scoping innovative solutions, solution design, testing, and implementation, and post launch improvements

• Manage change across multiple stakeholder groups including material business owners and dozens of system users

• Develop and maintain project schedules, identify dependencies, manage risks, and drive resolution of complex issues

• Partner with software development teams to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions to ensure successful launches

• Lead executive communications and status reporting to senior leadership
