Catalog is an essential part of the Amazon experience as it fundamentally influences the way customers shop and how productive our systems and users can be. This is accomplished by creating standardized catalog processes, working with selling partners and content curators to collect high quality data, and using manual resources and technology to enrich product knowledge at scale.

We are looking for a talented, passionate, and experienced Catalog Product Manager to join our initiative with a fast paced, highly collaborative start-up like environment inside Amazon. You will be part of the Automotive team owning the Parts Catalog, with the mandate to increase the completeness, coverage, and accuracy of Amazon’s Automotive Parts catalog to enable a world-class experience across all partners. This cross-functional expert will analyze and use data to manage and lead improvement of the customer experience, operational processes, vendor management, reporting, and overall business performance. They will also have a strong technical and analytical background, as well as the desire to make a significant business impact by owning and driving content curation and sourcing strategies to enable major business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Own accurate catalog setup, SKU/ASIN lifecycle management, processing, and reporting for our selection

  • Work with cross-functional teams (Product, Tech, Category, Marketing, AWS) to identify, troubleshoot, escalate and/or resolve issues for data/digital assets and new and existing tools.

  • Manage and analyze process data flow to provide business insights and performance improvement opportunities

  • Monitor effectiveness of internally facing tools, creating process where necessary to replicate and report defects, track their resolution, and measure impact to release health

  • Define and build tools/processes to improve content capture and validation. Identify opportunities to automate manual processes or use tools to improve processes

  • Inform and recommend project approaches to guide front and backend infrastructure by providing requirements to and partnering with engineering and product management teams

  • Work with external partners to ensure content coverage and improve data quality. Lead discussions on requirements, scoping, and fees, and negotiate contracts with data quality vendors and content service providers

  • Become an expert on Amazon’s content systems and act as a resource for other team members across the company in the diagnosis, planning, and execution of catalog projects

About the team

The Automotive team is a highly collaborative organization with tenured Amazonians. On this team you can expect to work with very bright individuals who also know how to have fun together. We have quarterly team events, from Whirly Ball to K-Kart racing. Weekly we have themed Thirsty Thursdays that range from Coffee and Cinnamon Rolls to Halloween treats and cocktails/mocktails.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience as a product manager or owner

  • Experience owning technology products

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

  • Master's degree or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
