DOCUSIGN, INC. IN SEATTLE, WA SEEKS Sr. Principal Engineer (JOB CODE IMC657) TO PERFORM THE FOLLOWING JOB DUTIES: Guide and mentor other engineers through design and code reviews. Think through how systems will scale and fail as they grow. Take complicated problems and break them down in to bite sized pieces, then ship every few weeks to get there. Work throughout stack, from network protocols to database performance and back. Ensure design and architecture is extensible across multiple projects, and participate in technical design and code reviews. Work cooperatively with product management and design to create features that are scalable and secure identify, propose, and implement process improvements to continuously increase team's productivity and efficiency. Develop, promote and build consensus across engineering teams. Participate in entire development life cycle, from concept to release. Support strategic code sharing and architecture for one or more functional area. Ensure design and architecture is extensible across multiple projects, and participate in technical design and code reviews. Work with Product Management and other developers to understand design requirements and provide estimates for development. Work closely with QA to identify test cases and devise efficient, scalable testing and processes. Identify, propose, and implement process improvements to continuously increase team's productivity and efficiency. Research new features and technologies. Fix production issues and maintain the code as need.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Experience: 15 years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate product development experience building large scale web applications.
Experience to include: (1) Full stack development, in an OO programming language such as C#, Java, or C++; (2) Designing and developing highly scalable consumer facing web application; (3) Consuming and building RESTful web-services; (4) Experience in high scale, highly available (99.99+) systems; (5) Working in an agile development environment; (6) Git; (7) CSS, AJAX, JSON, HTML, or MVC; (8) Microsoft technology stack (.NET, C#, and SQL Server); (9) TypeScript and JavaScript client code using modern web frameworks and technologies (React + Redux + Sass); (10) SaaS or Cloud; (11) Aligning platform architecture with security and data; and (12) Unit testing frameworks.
Salary: Washington Pay Range: $305,000 to $365,250 per year base salary + corporate benefits
