As the Sr. Manager, PM-T for Kindle E-Reader Software, you will directly own directly own and reinvent how customers experience E-readers, including our first E-note device, Kindle Scribe. The space is dynamic and evolving quickly, and we have the opportunity to define how customers will use these purpose built devices to enhance their daily lives. You will help define the strategy on how to grow this business several fold, and what features/capabilities we need to build to achieve that growth. To be successful, you will build and a strong team, leverage research and insights, develop a bold vision, work closely with peers and partners across Amazon, and guide your team to deliver. You will work closely with engineering, design, research and analytics. You will also need to balance short term wins with long term bets as the e-ink landscape continues to evolve.

Key job responsibilities

• Drive Kindle Search's vision and roadmap across all Kindle surfaces.

• Drive discovery and engagement, define the frameworks where we would leverage real estate for one vs the other.

• Conduct business and financial analysis; be familiar and influence ranking and relevance strategies.

• Serve as a key influencer in developing and auditing business strategy, contributing significantly to the overall Kindle strategy, customer engagement and analytics, and financial planning.

• Support other organizations by enabling programs like Kindle Unlimited, Vella and others to best leverage the Kindle real estate.

• Lead cross-functional teams as the PM partner to deliver projects on time.

• Work with teams across Amazon, across Books and cross-functionally with design, research and engineering.

• Role is global in nature will work with teams in other countries.

The Kindle Software Product Management team owns the customer facing software experiences across all Kindle devices and apps - ranging from how you read, navigate, acquire content and more. We believe reading is essential for a healthy society; our mission is to be the world's favorite place to read, write and get more out of reading.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of team management experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering consumer software products and services in a high growth environment

    • Experience delivering consumer software products and services in a high growth environment
    • Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive actions
    • Experience with consumer electronics software development
    • Outstanding oral and written communication
    • Ability to work well with a variety of people ranging in various technical levels
    • Proven track record of working well across organizations and functions, including design and research

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $158,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $307,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
