In this role, you’ll be at the center of driving AWS’s sales strategy, partnering directly with the Worldwide Specialist Organization’s Data Services team supporting our GenAI, AIML, Database, and Analytics businesses. You’ll lead a Finance team and collaborate with senior Sales, Business Development, Engineering, and Finance leaders to build financial plans, analyze large-scale investment opportunities, develop new go-to-market strategies, and identify opportunities for business growth. You will play key roles in both running the day-to-day business and helping drive strategic growth for the future.
You are a well-rounded performer and will play an impactful role on the team. You’ll excel at hiring, leading, and developing a team of Finance professionals, managing multiple work streams on tight deadlines, and partnering with a wide range of business partners and functions. You demonstrate excellent business judgment and problem solving, and possess strong attention to detail.
Key job responsibilities
• Provide next-level leadership and contribute meaningful insights to executive-level decision making by driving rigorous analysis, thoughtful prioritization, and long-term thinking.
• Formulate investment models that will provide meaningful impact on the business decision making.
• Provide insight into key AWS customer segments by collaborating with external and internal stakeholders.
• Work across sales and services teams to ensure transparent use of resources, and collaborate on ways to drive both increased productivity and speed of innovation.
• Create and cultivate the financial discipline to ensure delivery of goals (e.g. inspection, budgets, productivity) and adherence to policy and controls.
• Lead and develop a team of 3-4 finance professionals.
Basic Qualifications
12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience
MBA, or CPA
10+ years of positions that require analysis and reporting financial results experience
7+ years of directly managing and leading a team of 10+ members experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $137,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $227,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
