Plymouth Housing Group SPC/SSP Program Property Coordinator in Seattle, Washington

SALARY $28.44 - $32.61 FIND OUT ABOUT THIS ROLE AND OUR MISSION TO CREATE POSITIVE CHANGE The Shelter Plus Care (SPC) program is a federally funded rent subsidy program managed by Plymouth. Plymouth provides a rent subsidy to approximately 700 households who live in rental properties throughout King County. The Property Coordinator completes initial and annual Housing Quality Standards inspections under the direction of the SPC Program Manager for units subsidized by SPC. This position is responsible for coordinating the deposit retrieval and returned funds processes. This position also provides support and program education to current SPC landlords and to sub-contracted service agency representatives as they assist SPC participants in their unit search. Plymouth Housing is a nonprofit organization that develops and operates permanent supportive housing for single adults who have experienced chronic homelessness. With apartment buildings throughout King County, Plymouth is helping the most vulnerable members of our community leave homelessness behind forever. As part of our strategic vision, we are building internal behavioral health services and transforming our systems to address rapid growth and the changing needs of residents. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO BE DOING IN THIS ROLE AT PLYMOUTH HOUSING Conduct initial and annual inspections of SPC units, driving throughout King County. Schedule and coordinate HQS inspections with King County for new and existing Plymouth units. Provide education about SPC regulations and policies to prospective landlords and support existing landlords with ongoing program compliance. Assist service agencies in evaluating units for rent reasonability and compliance with Fair Market Rent standards. Create monthly inspection schedules, notify tenants and agencies of upcoming inspections, and document inspection results. Attend SPC Coordinating Committee meetings and contribute to program development and training. Review and audit unit rents, calculate utility allowances, and ensure compliance with subsidy regulations. Oversee the deposit retrieval process, manage returned funds, and coordinate with the Finance Department on 1099 information. Capability to develop and maintain positive relationships with landlords, tenants, and community agencies. Strong focus on accuracy in inspections, documentation, and compliance checks. Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to work with customized databases and conduct Internet research. QUALIFICATIONS BA/BS degree in human services, property management, public administration, or related field, or a combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Valid Washington State Driver license and good driving record. Minimum of two (2) years related experience in property management and/or providing social services directly to clients. Experience working with homeless and low-income individuals, including persons living with mental and physical illnesses, chemical dependency/addictions, disabilities, HIV/AIDS is desired.
