This role is a part of the Test & Flight Operations team, providing centralized support to business units with a focus on the design, build, and maintenance of the ground systems, test, and launch facilities across multiple locations. As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will design and deploy test systems and software for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of component, sub-assembly, and vehicle level testing. We develop ground test data acquisition and control systems based on NI CompactRIO, CompactDAQ, PXI, and other hardware that will test fluid, mechanical, and electrical development and flight systems of our engines and launch vehicles. Our team provides support for business units and programs across Blue Origin for critical development, qualification, and acceptance testing. In this role, you will be a foundational member of our software quality assurance team working closely with both our software engineering team and integration engineering team to ensure our software is robust and reliable. You will write detailed test procedures and work with the software design engineers, systems engineers, and DevOps engineers to automate all identified tests, define and develop software requirements traceability matrices, and ensure all test capabilities are supported in our automated pipelines. In addition to your primary responsibilities in quality assurance, you will participate and lead in the lifecycle o new projects including requirements, design, build, commissioning, and verification of test systems. You will provide customer service, training, and documentation for our customers. Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years proven track record in software QA with knowledge of automated test suite standard processes and defining the appropriate balance between manual and automated testing Desire to work in a driven, fast paced, and dynamic environment B.S. degree in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering. Other engineering or science degrees or work history will be considered if experience in above responsibilities is met Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and champion an inclusive culture Ability to travel up to 10% Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum Preferred Qualification: Experience with DO-278 and NSPR-7150 Experience working with electrical control systems and industrial sensors and actuators: pressure, temperature, LVDT, bridge, accelerometers, and motion/servo controllers Project management experience, delivering results on-time and on-budget Experience working in a test environment Experience with LabVIEW, C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python, Git-CI, Jama, Linux, Windows Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $115,290-$161,406
