JPMorgan Chase & Co. seeks a Software Engineer in Seattle, Washington. 

DUTIES:  Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

 

REQUIREMENTS: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer/Developer, Java Developer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer/Developer, Java Developer, or related occupation. Requires experience in the following: designing and developing software applications in Java; designing and developing applications with React; designing and implementing REST and SOAP web services; developing applications for Cloud using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Cloud Foundry; data modeling and implementing database scripts using Oracle database; developing, executing, and performance tuning SQL queries; performing unit testing using Junit and Mockito; designing and implementing microservices using Spring Boot and Spring framework; implementing rules with Drools and Rulebook; working with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace or AppDynamics; performing static code analysis using SonarQube; performing event-driven design and implementation using Apache Kafka; automated testing; performance testing; Functional Testing; Regression Testing; System Integration Testing; JSON; XML; J2EE; Linux; Apache Tomcat; Agile SDLC; Waterfall SDLC; Javascript; TypeScript; JQuery; NodeJS; CSS; HTML; Hibernate and JPA; Splunk; GIT; Maven; Jenkins; shell scripting; JIRA; Application Architecture Disciplines; and Infrastructure Architecture Disciplines.
