Zillow, Inc. is seeking a Software Development Engineer for its Seattle, Washington office.
Job Duties: Responsible for planning, designing, developing, and testing software systems/applications for software enhancements and new products. Develop web services, operational workflows, and applications that serve as the foundation of the platform. Collaborate with teammates to iterate quickly and ship code frequently. Also be responsible for the quality of the company's feature work through test automation and monitoring. Research and pioneer the adoption and use of new technologies within the company. Champion operational excellence, building best-in-class bulletproof products. Telecommuting is permitted.
Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology Strategy, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
Experience Requirements: Three (3) years of experience in each of the following:
- Coding in Java or Python programming languages
- Delivering, debugging, and maintaining backend software systems
- Utilizing persistence strategies including relational and non-relational databases
- Designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, and distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using Object Oriented Design
