Amazon Senior Manager, Head of Product, Salesforce Success Central in Seattle, Washington

This role is open to these locations: Seattle, WA; and Dallas, TX. Relocation offered from within the US to any of these locations.

AWS is looking for leaders like you to help launch Salesforce Success Central (SFSC), a dedicated Center of Excellence providing Salesforce expertise and managed services to help teams across Amazon accelerate their Salesforce journey while raising the bar on security, developer efficiency, operational excellence and financial responsibility. SFSC owns security mechanisms and financial governance related to Salesforce development, and delivers company-wide, reusable components for common Salesforce use cases and recommended third-party solutions, managed Amazon integrated solutions for security, DevOps and system integrations, expertise, training and community to grow our talent and share Salesforce best practices and learnings across Amazon. Delivering at Amazon scale and building industry-grade solutions, we partner closely with Salesforce business and technical leadership. We give Salesforce superpowers with AWS innovation.

In the SFSC team, you’ll be responsible for defining the the product and service vision for SFSC to maximize our value to Amazon teams innovating with Salesforce. You will own the business model on how teams can “pay” for our offerings based on the value that we deliver to ensure Customer Obsession and Ownership. You will lead Product Management to ensure our products and services are best-in-class with clear success KPIs. You will lead MBRs, QBRs and our OP1 to our executive audience. You will manage and grow a small team of Product Managers to scale your charter.

Key job responsibilities

As the Head of Product, you will define the strategic vision and own the long-term roadmap for major suites of technology products with company-wide impact. Working with technical teams within and without SFSC, you will use your product domain expertise, customer obsession, and ownership of the end-to-end product development cycle (customer engagements, stakeholder buy-ins and requirements definition, CX design, compliance, feature definition and prioritization, product messaging, go-to-market strategies, and post-launch closed-loop feedback mechanisms) to lead products and teams through strategic and technical ambiguity to ultimate success. You will be expected to make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market and technical and business outcomes, clearly communicating goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes. Beyond a strong technical background and proven track record of product management, a successful candidate will have experience driving strategy and influencing executive leadership. We are looking for someone that is a self-starter, someone that approaches complex business questions with data and curiosity, and a person that dives below the surface to identify the root cause and "so what" rather than just superficial trends. Lastly, we are looking for a strong manager who can hire and develop great Product Management talent to help scale SFSC to the demands of Amazon.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent work experience

  • 15+ years of experience with 7+ years of technical product management experience in a related industry

  • 5+ years of direct management experience

  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences

  • Demonstrated experience translating customer needs and product opportunities into innovative and detailed product requirements for business applications with large and divers customer bases and business use cases

  • Proven track record of delivering results in company-wide, cross-functional technical initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, and/or advanced degree in computer science or related field

  • Experience with Salesforce and/or other CRM related technologies

  • Experience in managing small to medium sized teams.

  • Experience owning enterprise-wide business applications and workflows with critical business, security, and compliance impact

  • Experience coordinating teams across multiple business units and time zones

  • Experience architecting a solution on top of Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $178,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $307,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
