Beacon Hill Staffing Group Senior Accounts Payable Specialist in Seattle, Washington

As a Temporary Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the financial operations of our organization. You will be responsible for processing and managing accounts payable transactions, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors and suppliers. Your attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and strong organizational skills will contribute to the overall success of our finance department. Responsibilities: * Receive and review invoices, expense reports, and other supporting documents for accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization. * Enter and code invoices into the accounting system with accurate general ledger coding. * Perform three-way match by reconciling invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents. * Process employee expense reports, verifying compliance with company policies and guidelines. * Prepare and perform weekly check runs or electronic payments. * Communicate with vendors and suppliers to resolve any billing discrepancies or payment issues. * Maintain accurate records and documentation related to accounts payable activities. * Assist with month-end closing activities and provide necessary reports and documentation to the finance team. * Support the finance department with ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned. Qualifications: * Previous experience in accounts payable or related financial roles. * Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. * Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel. * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. * Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under tight deadlines. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Education: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
