As such, BRP designs and builds the software systems, risk models and operational processes that minimize risk and maximize trust in Amazon.com.

We are seeking a Program Manager in BRP, who will be responsible for influencing and managing Strategic roadmaps driving transformational business model impacting various levels of the organization. This role requires the ability to thrive in a dynamic, ever-changing environment and a passion for solving complex, ambiguous problems. The candidate should be able to gather business requirements, document functional and design specifications, identify appropriate resources needed, engage the right project team, assign individual responsibilities, and develop the milestones and launch schedule to ensure timely and successful delivery of the project.

Key job responsibilities

Collaboration: Partners with the global process owners, Business teams, Site leaders, Operation managers, and support teams for defining program requirements and drives team(s)/partners to meet goals. Accelerates progress by driving timely decisions, making appropriate tradeoffs to optimize business outcomes and Customer experience, and clearly communicates goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional teams.

Change Management & Innovation: Drives and/or influences new ideas and approaches. Promotes procedures, plans and practices which enables the adoption of appropriate solutions and sustainability of desired results in complex operational environments. Executes strategies to enhance decision making.

Results & Accountability: Interacts with a broad cross section of the Amazon organization as you clarify ambiguous issues and negotiate effective solutions between partners and business teams. Anticipates bottlenecks and escalate issues when required in order to ensure on-time delivery. Will be responsible for analyzing and identifying specific instances of risk, broader risk trends and points of friction, as well as developing scalable solutions for prevention. Collaborates effectively with business teams and within BRP and cross-functional teams to facilitate highly complex projects; focuses on results and measuring attainment of outcomes and deliver successfully against high organizational standards.

Reporting: Reports on progress of multiple projects and providing regular updates to senior management. Should be able to apply a breadth of tools, data sources, and analytical techniques to proactively present insights, report on progress of project deliverables in concise and effective manner.

Communication: Should be an effective communicator capable of independently driving issues to resolution and communicating insights to non-technical and technical audiences. Manages meetings effectively to create and review action plans to address project needs. Puts the right people in the room and hold team members accountable for progress on key program actions. Drives detailed discussions and high-level alignment with Senior leadership within the Organization.

Portfolio Management: Leads a portfolio of projects for cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of investigative strategies and experiments. Document functional and design specifications, identify appropriate resources needed, assemble the right project team, assign individual responsibilities, and develop the milestones and launch schedule to ensure timely and successful delivery of the project.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 5+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • Experience in driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

  • Knowledge of DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve Control) problem solving techniques

  • Experience in managing large scale transformation, change management initiatives.

  • Experience in building processes, project management, and schedules

  • Good on influencing skills and negotiation skills

  • Ability to motivate and focus people resources where there is no direct reporting relationship

  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)

  • Certified Six Sigma Green/Black Belt

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
