Department OverviewThe Global Procurement Organization provides the resources, processes, governance, systems and controls for acquiring goods and services efficiently, effectively and ethically from a diverse supply base that provides Motorola Solutions a competitive advantage on cost, quality, technology, service and delivery. The Project and Indirect Procurement Organization is responsible for the acquisition of all Software, Hardware and Services both used internally by Motorola Solutions as well as those offered to our customers as part of product offerings and solutions. The team is a trusted advisor to bring value and lead innovations while supporting company initiatives for profitability, cost savings, cash flow, supplier collaboration, and dynamic solutions to business challenges. The Global Procurement team is evolving from more traditional sourcing and procurement goals by looking beyond simple cost savings and creating value for the corporation by improving product profitability, increasing supplier collaboration and leveraging supplier roadmaps to bring new solutions to our business partners. We are a client focused team designed to bring value and help lead innovations, revenue and savings within the business.Job Description Responsibilities: Lead and execute long term agreements through formal RFx methodologies. Analyze spend data and industry dynamics to identify, prioritize, and launch sourcing initiatives. Identify value/ savings opportunities, processes, and best practices. Establish positive relationships across the business units to ensure active and early participation in supplier related matters. Lead negotiations in both financial and business matters, including commercial terms and risk mitigation for strategic contracts. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, budgets and current gaps and challenges to develop best strategic sourcing strategies. Support strategic sourcing best practices including driving supplier segmentation, scorecards, and facilitating strategic business reviews in collaboration with business partners. Lead supplier contract renewals and leverage competitive pricing, quality and customer service. Develop strategic relationships with existing or new key suppliers and ensure appropriate engagement levels exist to drive partnership objectives. Identify process improvements to increase efficiencies and maximize spend opportunity. Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on business initiatives and procurement strategies. Developing relationships with senior leadership. Providing subject matter expertise on complex purchasing, legal & contractual issues. Performing supplier relationship management and reviews. Preferred Skills: Budget Planning. Cost Reductions. Contract negotiations without much legal guidance. 5+ years of Procurement experience preferred. Strong leadership and management skills preferred. Contribute to large/complex supplier deals. Ability to communicate and facilitate presentations for Director/V
