DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Research and design end to end systems and reusable libraries and components based on state of the art machine learning and artificial intelligence systems. Lead a team of data scientists working on multiple natural language processing products across the firm. Define goals, priorities, and development opportunities. Plan and manage projects, design vision, identify resources, and assign responsibilities. Advise the firm in strategic investments in third parties and third party solutions. Lead data science evaluations of vendor solutions for state of the art machine learning and artificial intelligence. Advise product teams on defining timelines of deliverables and areas in which Natural Language Processing (NLP) can be used to drive innovation. Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities to apply machine learning to business problems. Conduct feasibility analysis, as well as co-design deliverables and project success criteria in coordination with the data science team and stakeholders. Communicate project plans and key results with stakeholders. Work with technology teams on production deployment. Co-lead internship hiring in the team. Conduct hiring interviews for the natural language processing and speech teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field of study plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or as Predictive Science, Applied AI/ML Lead, Applied AI/ML Research Associate, Sr. Software Engineer, Software Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field of study plus 6 years of experience in the job offered or as Predictive Science, Applied AI/ML Lead, Applied AI/ML Research Associate, Sr. Software Engineer, Software Engineer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires four (4) years of experience with the following: coding in Python; working with Deep Learning architectures: DNNs, RNNs, CNNs, and transformers creating solutions to open-ended NLP problems; Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing packages including Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, Pytorch, Keras, NumPy, SciPy, SpaCy, Gensim, NLTK, and Transformers. Requires two (2) years of experience with the following: Linear Algebra; Statistics. Requires one (1) year of experience with the following: using basic table operations in SQL and Elasticsearch.

Full-Time. Salary: $260,000 - $325,000 per year.
