Our Team and the Role:

Join our Bloomberg On-Site Support (BOS) teams, where we operate with urgency to deliver outstanding service and technical solutions to Bloomberg's global clientele spanning over 75 countries. Our department is the backbone of support, ensuring seamless operations for both internal and external customers in a dynamic, technology-driven landscape.

At the heart of our mission lies a team of highly skilled specialists dedicated to providing comprehensive support for Bloomberg's hardware, software, and network infrastructure. As a Support Specialist, you play a pivotal role in delivering unparalleled customer and technical service to both clients and internal users.

What sets our role apart is our unique approach of supporting external clients through our proprietary help desk system while also providing on-site assistance as required. We're Counting on You To:

  • Uphold an exceptional level of customer service focus during interactions with clients, handling tasks such as account management, license activation, and software support.

  • Deliver exemplary on-site assistance to install or service critical servers, routers, appliances, and computers for clients.

  • Utilize Linux-based platforms proficiently to console into routers for service or new installations.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal IT support within Bloomberg offices.

  • Showcase your expertise in the connectivity and integration of our enterprise products.

  • Ensure meticulous documentation of all tasks and updates using our proprietary ticketing system.

  • Demonstrate the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Maintain organization and promptly manage incoming workflows to ensure timely resolution.

You'll need to have:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience

  • Demonstrated mastery in customer service and communication, with a focus on customer-facing interactions and adept problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting within both Windows and Mac environments, encompassing comprehensive support for software, hardware, and networking issues.

  • Dynamic Schedule: Adaptability essential; occasional evening and weekend shifts required (compensated with time off in lieu).

  • Mobile Device Expertise: Proficient understanding of Android and iOS platforms crucial.

  • Network Infrastructure Management: Proficiency in colocation equipment management, rack and stack procedures, circuit testing, intricate cable configurations, equipment diagnostics, troubleshooting, and firewall setup are paramount.

Salary Range: 70,000 - 95,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
