Meta Localization Program Manager in Seattle, Washington

Summary:

Languages are key to our mission of bringing the world closer together. The Meta family of products is currently available in 100+ languages and we are adding many more. Over 70% of people use our products in a language other than English, and 90% are outside of North America. As a Localization Program Manager, you will partner with various stakeholders and the rest of internationalization teams to empower Meta products to feel local at a global scale.

Required Skills:

Localization Program Manager Responsibilities:

  1. Engage and build relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders (Legal, Product, Engineering, etc.) to launch successful localized products and contents

  2. Design and implement efficient and scalable end-to-end localization frameworks tailored to various products and diverse content types across Meta

  3. Guide stakeholders across Meta to ensure localization best practices are followed and drive efficient execution

  4. Proactively identify and streamline technical and process issues that affect localized product relevancy, quality, and functionality

  5. Actively seek out opportunities to optimize the global user experience and influence adoptions of optimal solutions

  6. Partner across internationalization to ensure the right resources are in place and all deliveries are completed at the expected standards

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 3+ years of experience in localization, or equivalent project management or program management experience

  2. BA/BS or 2+ years equivalent work experience in localization, internationalization, project management, or program management

  3. Experience communicating across and driving results among a variety of cross-functional stakeholders, working across time zones and international offices

  4. Experience analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to inform business decisions

  5. Skilled in building and optimizing complex workflows

  6. Track record of staying focused, prioritizing and creating structure across large, ambiguous programs and setting goals for long-term initiatives

  1. Knowledge of additional languages other than English

  2. Exposure to SQL, analytics tools, or a coding language

  3. Familiarity with internationalization standards such as Unicode and CLDR

  4. Experience working with localization vendors

  5. Knowledge of AI technologies and potential application in localization workflows

Public Compensation:

$78,998/year to $118,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
