Amazon Localization Program Manager, Amazon Games in Seattle, Washington

Description

Amazon Games is seeking a talented and experienced Localization Program Manager to help manage the translation of our ambitious games portfolio. We want customers around the world to have immersive and exciting gaming experiences in their preferred languages, no matter their country or locale. We want our translations to be as good as or better than the original source! This requires us to think globally from the start and to put processes in place that enable creative, high-quality localization at scale. This is an impactful role with the opportunity to manage the localization processes of multiple titles and to help shape the direction of Amazon Games localization.

Amazon is all in on games. We believe games will become the number one form of entertainment on Earth and be defined by their ability to deeply engage communities of fans inside and outside of the playing experience. We believe the evolution that began with arcade communities a quarter at a time and grew to the live streams and eSports of today, will continue to a future in which fans are creators, players are celebrities, and games are a global cultural touchstone that cuts across age, gender and nationality. Games have the power to connect communities at a massive scale. This role will empower game studios to confidently and continually release high-quality products that delight customers worldwide.

A day in the life

The Localization PM will work closely with producers, game designers, writers and engineers across multiple game studios from project inception to launch, provide direction on globalization best practices, and manage the translation, testing, and release of localized game content and live service updates across multiple territories. Working upstream, the Localization PM will help ensure that source content production processes, schedules and execution plans are designed to enable efficient and successful simultaneous global release in multiple languages.
