The Amazon Fresh Grocery team is excited to welcome a Instock Manager to our dynamic team.

In order to be successful in as an Instock Manager, you need to be comfortable driving business decisions in an ambiguous work environment, interfacing and coordinating with various functional teams both internally and externally, and driving results through both quantitative and qualitative strategies. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful, customer focused, team oriented, and will have an ability to work with data independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. You will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. This role will include a mix of long-term strategic projects and short-term tactical tasks.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work with internal stakeholders in category management, category instock, supply chain, operations, and product management to collaborate on supply chain improvement initiatives

  • Enhance long-term relationships, working on cost to serve reductions and reducing vendor pain points

  • Identifying automation opportunities, improving non-automated processes, and building to scale.

  • Influence technical teams to drive adoption of standards and creation of tools to manage: inventory health, item-level forecasting, purchase order quality, vendor self-service, and supply chain operations

  • Developing plans that drive revenue and margin improvement with vendors

  • Build the tech roadmap with vendors and drive implementation of tech initiatives to improve forecasting, buying, reporting, and operations processes

  • Building and maintaining knowledge management tools

A day in the life

Note: this is a Hybrid role, requiring Instock Managers to be on-site at least 3 days/week in one of our Amazon Fresh corporate offices.

The Perishables Instock Team manages the entire spectrum of instock performance, from forecasting and ordering to maintaining vendor relationships. We oversee Bakery, Dairy, Deli, and Prepared Foods Categories, both in our Fresh Stores and our Online Network. Our mission is to strike the delicate balance between staying instock for customers and minimizing waste for shorter shelf life products.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of with Excel experience

  • 4+ years of supply chain, inventory management or project management experience

  • Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient with SQL to process complex datasets from multiple sources and have experience with data analytics

  • Proven problem solving skills, project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
