Summary:

Reality Labs, the Augmented Reality business unit, is seeking an experienced, highly quantitative, and driven Demand Planner to focus on AR global demand forecasting and strategic planning. This position will require cross-functional coordination across several groups, with an emphasis on partnering with Regional Demand Planners, Product Marketing, Product Management, Category, Finance, and Supply Planning. The successful candidate will combine strategic planning and decision making with deep data analytics and insights. The ideal candidate will be passionate about AR/VR/MR and consumer hardware, have a demonstrated interest in data and technology, work well independently, be highly analytical and demonstrate the ability to clearly communicate highly complex topics to a broad audience. This role will challenge the candidate to understand and impact many facets of hardware business strategy, including sales planning and analytics, financial forecasting, strategic portfolio management, trade marketing, and supply chain analytics.

Required Skills:

Global Demand Planner (AR) Responsibilities:

1. Partner with product managers, marketing & category managers, data scientists and financial analysts teams to drive accurate demand planning and identify growth initiatives based on robust forecast models.

2. Forecast and track weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly sales performance of AR products.

3. Own the actuals vs forecast and goal performance analysis, drive identification of root causes and plan mitigation measures for gaps in performance.

4. Share forecast assumptions and impact of strategic activities to forecast outcomes to broader organization and various stakeholders.

5. Drive implementation of tools and techniques for continuous forecast accuracy improvement by analyzing large datasets, identifying trends, dependencies, correlations, and creating future outlooks based on that.

6. Partner with cross-functional teams to impact production and launch decisions.

7. Partner with marketing and finance teams to impact and evaluate pricing and promotion strategy across the entire portfolio of products and assess new markets for business growth.

8. Present outcomes at reviews with business leaders across Reality Labs.

9. 5+ years of experience in demand, sales or business planning & analytics

10. Experience with forecasting tools (e.g. Anaplan, Algo, e2open, Logility etc.)

11. Experience with statistical forecasting methods and forecast accuracy metrics

12. Experience with mature S&OP processes

14. Experience in shifting priorities, while maintaining organization and control

15. Experience in strategic planning within emerging product categories or industries

16. Experience in SQL/Tableau/Power BI/visualization tools

17. Experience in the high-end consumer electronics or the eyewear industry

18. Experience in communicating data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leaders

19. Experience in large & complex global organizations

20. Bachelor's degree in business-related or quantitative field (Supply Chain, Economics, Finance, Math, Engineering, or similar discipline)

21. Experience with demand planning in Consumer Electronics or any other relevant industry

Public Compensation:

$126,000/year to $178,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
