Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer 4 to serve as Field Design/Construction Oversight Engineer in Seattle WA. This position provides the on-site construction coordination, review, monitoring, and Quality Verification (QV) inspection to ensure that the Sound Transit (ST) light rail and roadway infrastructure construction program within WSDOT Right of Way (ROW) is in accordance with contract, agreement, and safety requirements. This position will provide day-to-day oversight for construction permitting as well as the installation of light rail in WSDOT ROW including over interstates, ramps, through tunnels, and other bridge facilities. This position also provides Construction Management support by either design review, oversight, and inspection of other transit agencies' projects and utility construction permits within WSDOT ROW. This position is critical in fostering a respectful and healthy work environment with focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
