Providence St. Joseph Health Exercise Physiologist in Seattle, Washington

Description The Exercise Physiologist is responsible for the development and enhancement of comprehensive cardiovascular rehabilitation, pulmonary rehabilitation, and related programs for CardioVascular Wellness Services that meet established AACVPR, AHA and ACSM standards. Clinical responsibilities include initial patient assessment and evaluation, providing instruction on and monitoring of exercise therapy, development and consultation of exercise prescriptions, exercise and risk factor modification education both in the classroom and individually, and documentation and communication with referring physicians including initial assessment and patient progress in the program. Administrative responsibilities include working with and directly supervising student interns. The Exercise Physiologist serves as a resource to the multidisciplinary team in matters relating to exercise, exercise prescription, and risk factor modification. Required qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Cardiac Rehabilitation or related field. Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association Prior work experience interpreting GXT's, formulating and updating personalized exercise prescriptions, and risk factor and behavior modification. Demonstrated work experience in interpreting GXT's, formulating and updating personalized exercise prescriptions, and risk factor and behavior modification. Preferred qualifications: Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Cardiac Rehabilitation or related field. Bachelor's Degree: minimum of two (2) years experience. Master's Degree: minimum of one (1) year experience handling own participant caseload in cardiovascular risk reduction and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation or related field. Why Join Providence?
