The role is part of the In-Space Systems business unit, which is focused on development, manufacturing, and operation of satellite systems to address one of the most compelling challenges in spaceflight today: space mobility. As part of a hardworking team of diverse engineers, you will Lead the design and development of embedded control systems for Blue Origin's innovative spacecraft. Blue Origin, a world-class aerospace company, is seeking an Embedded Controls Principal Engineer - Blue Ring who consistently demonstrates exceptional work behaviors. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to engineering projects that are at the forefront of shaping the future of space exploration. Special Mentions Relocation provided Travel expected up to 10-25% of the time Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Collaborate with teams from various departments to identify system requirements and effectively implement control algorithms. Conduct thorough testing and verification to ensure flawless performance. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Continuously evaluate and improve control system designs. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience. A proven track record of at least 7 years in embedded controls engineering. Expertise in developing real-time control algorithms for complex systems. Proficiency in C/C++ programming and experience with embedded microcontrollers. Strong knowledge of control system theory and practical application. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Compensation range for onsite CO applicants is $188,427.00- $251,236.00 Compensation range for onsite WA applicants is $ 198,993.00- $265,324.00 Other site ranges may differ Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.
