NOTE: This position is offered as a hybrid role in the Seattle, WA area. You must be willing to work in office at the Nordstrom Seattle office a minimum of 3 days/week in order to be considered for this position.

Our talented fashion design team — the Nordstrom Product Group — develops, designs, produces and sources 16-plus private Nordstrom labels. From traditional to trendy, this team is shaping the styles and looks our customer love. And we have an opportunity for a Designer to join our team. As a Designer at Nordstrom, you will own the seasonal brand design and you'll create products that exceed our customer expectations - making them feel good and look their best!

A day in the life…

  • Supports design leadership in building Seasonal Brand Design Direction for their area of responsibility.

  • Customer centric – continuous research to understand customer, trends, and shifts in the competitive landscape.

  • Owns concept & design for their assignment – ensuring it supports Brand Design Direction, Concept, and line plan needs.

  • Research materials, select fabric and trims & work closely with our print team to bring all elements of textile application to life.

  • Partners with design leadership to color the line.

  • Supports design leadership to build and curate all visual tools needed to support seasonal story telling for their assignment / team.

  • Builds strong, synergistic relationships with all cross functional partners.

  • Promotes a culture of continuous improvement that pushes innovation and accelerates expected outcomes.

You own this if you have…

  • Bachelor's degree in Design preferred

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in design industry

  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe CS (required), MS Office suite and ability to hand-sketch. Able to quickly adapt to new technology and systems

  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills

  • Strong understanding of industry and trends within the Active space.

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $80,000 - $155,000 annually

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
