Actalent Commissioning Engineer in Seattle, Washington

Job Title: Commissioning EngineerJob Description

Seeking a commissioning engineer with a mechanical background to facilitate project assignments within data center markets. The ideal candidate will participate in daily commissioning activity meetings, prepare test procedures and reports, develop commissioning logs and tools, write comprehensive reports, and review pertinent commissioning documentation. This role requires developing and administering functional tests for various systems, including mechanical central chilled water plants, boilers, and fire protection systems.

Hard Skills

  • Experience in hospitals, large/complex facilities, and mission critical facilities (data centers, telecommunications, disaster recovery sites)

  • Ability to review design criteria, specifications, drawings, and equipment submittals

  • Developing and administering functional tests for mechanical systems

  • OSHA 10/30 certification (preferred)

Soft Skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Excellent written communication for report preparation

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully remote position.

Work Environment

Position involves 60-65% travel, sometimes requiring 2-3 weeks on site followed by travel.
