• 90% FTE (36 hours per week)

• Opportunity to provide career growth DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Our Surgical Unit (Surgical 2 East) is a 22-bed unit that cares for a variety of general surgery patients. Our services range from appendectomies to complex bowel resections to hernia repairs. Our unit is fast paced, and we are proud to hold some of the highest admission-discharge-transfer (ADT) rates in our hospital. This is a great opportunity to lead a dynamic floor that always puts their patients first. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct and indirect care to patients and their families under the general supervision of the Registered Nurse

• Assist patients with activities of daily living: bathing, showering, dressing, getting in and out of bed or a chair, walking, using the toilet, and eating

• Maintain a safe environment of care

• Patient transportation

• Prepare patients for surgery

• Perform non-invasive lab procedures

• Transport equipment and supplies

• Assist with treatments

• Perform various clerical tasks

• Take vital signs REQUIREMENTS

• Nursing Assistant-Certified (NAC) with the State of WashingtonAND

• High School graduation OR equivalent education/experience
