Group Life Counselor IV - Posting #25886

Hourly Wage: $24.36

Position Summary:

Full-time position available immediately for our inpatient Treatment Center located at Turning Point in Seattle. Turning Point is a Substance Use Disorder Treatment Center for Adults. The Group Life Counselor is an entry level Human Service position that is part of the multi-disciplinary treatment team providing direct services to patients in a residential setting.

The Group Life Counselor IV is a Chemical Dependency Professional Trainee (SUDP) position that is part of the multi-disciplinary treatment team. Direct services may include a combination or all of the following: group care, intake procedures, evaluation, individual and group counseling, milieu management, evaluation, and supervision of patients. A GLC IV is expected to be proficient in their understanding on how to provide the direct services listed above. 

Education and/or Experience:

  • Must hold an Associate’s degree or be enrolled in a program to complete in Psychology, Sociology and Human Services, Addictions or related field; Bachelors’ preferred.

  • Must be registered with DOH as a CDPT.
