Aston Carter Supply Planning Manager in Scranton, Pennsylvania

Description

The Manager of Supply Planning role requires prior experience in Supply Planning and S&OP/IBP process and broad experience/understanding of demand planning and materials planning.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and energetic candidate, capable of flexing in both strategic and tactical activities, with a proven ability to demonstrate progress in a dynamic environment. This role interacts daily with business leaders in Manufacturing, Contract Manufacturing, Procurement, Demand Planning, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and key external partners to drive business objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Supply Planning

• Lead and support the Supply Chain team as a key stakeholder in the MRP and S&OP processes to help meet customer demand while minimizing inventory costs and maximizing service levels.

• Develop, manage, validate, and communicate production plans for all items across multiple co-

manufacturers.

• Monitor inventory levels across multiple FG warehouses and work closely with customer service

to ensure all orders are being fulfilled in full and on-time to meet our Fill Rate % metric. Identify risk and opportunities as well as provide potential solutions.

• Develop, strategize, and maintain ongoing network supply and capacity planning.

• Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams on the positioning and maintenance of finished goods inventories, in such a way to balance customer fill rate, inventory carrying costs and transportation.

• Establish guidelines to achieve cost-efficient movement of finished goods while maintaining minimum inventory investment.

• Ability to identify opportunities and lead execution for process improvements.

• Anticipate and communicate current and potential risks and opportunities to Management so they can make appropriate decisions.

• Monitor FG inventory and manage aged inventory, SKU rationalized inventory, and restricted stock (hold, damage, etc.) to maximize sales revenue and minimize P&L impact.

• Be the key stakeholder in owning and maintaining data and reporting within our MRP system.

Transformation

Support and drive transformation from current manual processes to Anaplan Supply Planning platform. Manage change management, master data accuracy, data migration, and ensure project deliverables.

Skills & Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. degree (Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related experience in the field preferred)

• Minimum 2+ years of supply planning in Anaplan or like system

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Supply Planning and S&OP experience in a CPG company

• Minimum 5+ years in CPG

• Transformation experience – onboarding new tools (like Anaplan).

• Support and lead discussions in the S&OP Process

• Advanced skills with MS Office required, intermediate MS Excel required, advanced Excel helpful

• Working knowledge of quantitative methods to analyze situations and solve business problems

• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication. (Strong collaboration and written / verbal communication skills are required, particularly teams across multiple BU's. Clear and concise communication with multiple levels of management is essential.)

• Must be detail oriented, self-starter, working independently, and comfortable taking initiative, as well as capable driving and delivering high quality results on a sustainable basis.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively influence both internal and external customers/relationships

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Comfort in analyzing/slicing data in various manners to gather insights

• Ability to organize work and manage/lead multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines

• Excellent customer service / support skills, ability to work well under pressure, professional demeanor and strong written and oral communication skills

• Leadership: Through insights and business mastery, must be able to influence direction and decision-making as it relates to Consensus / S&OP processes.

• Business Knowledge: Experience in packaged goods within the retail and/or B2B markets preferred.

• Collaboration: Must have strong collaboration skills to partner internally and externally to resolve issues and identify opportunities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
