Job Purpose

Perform a wide range of physical activities associated with quality technician responsibilities.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Serve as an “on-the-floor” Quality expert during manufacturing, qualification and troubleshooting processes.

  • Perform daily process quality checks and take corrective actions.

  • Perform final inspections on all PE, GEP, and AEP products.

  • Investigate, Disposition, and close customer complaints within the company’s goal for customer response time (10 days or less).

  • Assist in the development, preparation and distribution of production process control and inspection paperwork.

  • Calibrate and maintain all measuring instruments, process control devices and part gages.

  • Coordinate testing in QC lab as required.

  • Write and/or modify SOPs, exhibits and procedures

  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of customer and internal non-conformances.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, participate in continuous improvement projects as a team member when needed.

  • Perform special projects and quality training as directed by Quality Manager, Group Leader and/or Engineer.

  • Assist Crew Manager with trouble shooting, RCA, etc.

  • Promote Quality, Safety and productivity throughout the entire manufacturing process.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

  • Committed to the “injury free concept”.

  • Two year technical degree, or minimum one year related Quality experience. (Appropriate college credits may substitute for experience)

  • Advanced product inspection and process auditing experience.

  • Working knowledge of measuring equipment including tape measure and micrometers

  • Understanding of the ISO 9001 standards and quality system structure and documentation.

  • Working knowledge of MCG products, processes and technologies.

  • Familiarity with Quality Control analytical techniques

  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Proficient Movex computer skills.

  • Proven Team work record and a CAN DO attitude

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent attendance record and proven commitment to personal development.

  • The salary for this position is $25.93 Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
