Job Description The Security Analyst II will play a key role as an independent contributor within a dynamic security team, offering vital Cyber support, in-depth analysis, and effective remediation solutions. Contract Duration: 6-12 months
Required Skills & Experience:
Must be available to work during Pacific Time Zone hours.
3 to 5 years of experience as a Security Analyst in a similar industry or related field.
In-depth knowledge of Information Technology, including Active Directory, Firewalls, Routers, Infrastructure, Databases, Logging, Monitoring, Change Management, Segregation of Duties, Cybersecurity, Physical Security, IT operations, Network Security, and Cloud Computing.
Strong expertise in Azure Cloud Security, Data Center operations, data security, network security, and risk management.
Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet daily project deadlines.
Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Visio, and other analytical tools.
Capable of managing multiple projects and programs simultaneously.
Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to independently solve problems using data.
Skilled in creating and delivering presentations, including public speaking and PowerPoint presentations.
CISSP or CISA certifications are highly preferred; other relevant certifications will also be considered.
Solid understanding of risks, internal controls, and the ability to evaluate and assess the effectiveness of controls.
Experience working with the NIST Risk Framework.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements, including FINRA, SEC, FFIEC, PCI, and NYDFS.
Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to foresee issues and design effective solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and confidently.
Desired Skills and experience
5+ years of experience as a Cyber Security Analyst in a similar company or related field.
Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to anticipate issues and design appropriate solutions.
Experience in building technical risk assessment or security assurance programs.
