Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Scottsdale, Arizona

Description

We are looking for a diligent PART TIME (16 - 20 hours per week) Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Scottsdale, Arizona. The role involves managing financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments for our company. You will also be responsible for reconciling accounts to ensure their accuracy. This position is a temporary role with the potential for extension.

Responsibilities:

• Process transactions and perform accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling books of accounts.

• Utilize accounting software systems to maintain records and prepare reports.

• Perform reconciliation of bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts as necessary.

• Manage the full cycle of accounting activities for the company, including AP, AR, Billing Functions, and General Ledger.

• Use Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and Microsoft Outlook to create spreadsheets, manage data, and communicate internally.

• Ensure all accounting tasks are performed correctly and according to GAAP.

• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports on a regular basis.

• Understand and maintain accounting functions in ADP - Financial Services.

• Support the primary accountant with additional tasks as needed.

• Maintain consistency in coding and recording financial transactions.

Requirements

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems for financial record keeping and analysis.

• Experience in using ADP - Financial Services for managing payroll and HR services.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites for creating reports, presentations, and managing data.

• Experience in using Microsoft Outlook for professional communication and scheduling.

• In-depth understanding of accounting functions, including financial reporting and tax preparation.

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) including invoice processing, payments, and reconciliations.

• Proficiency in handling Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing, collections, and revenue recognition.

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and complete.

• Ability to manage Billing Functions, including preparing and sending invoices to clients.

• Knowledge of General Ledger operations, including posting entries, balancing accounts, and preparing financial statements.
