As aFood Service Specialist(Cook), you will help prepare and manage food service operations while maintaining a clean, orderly, and sanitary kitchen environment. This position follows federal and state guidelines in the planning, preparing, and serving meals to individuals and staff at the RTC. The Food Service Specialist sets up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment, as well as prepares ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.). This position ensures great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served, keeping a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen, ensures all food and other items are stored properly, and monitors stock and places orders when there are shortages. The Food Service Specialist also completes general kitchen cleaning duties (dishes, mopping, deep cleaning projects), organizing food storage areas, receiving deliveries, completing temperature check logs, and shift coverage as needed.

Pay:\$18.00 - \$19.80/hr based on related work experience and education

Schedule:Wednesday 11:00am -7:00pm, Thursday/Friday/Sunday 6:00am-2:00pm, Saturday11:00am -7:00pm (schedules are subject to change)
