Responsibilities:
Junior -
Assists in developing complex information technology systems and applications
Supports the application of business process improvement practices to IT projects
Helps evaluate hardware and software solutions for various projects
Contributes to establishing standards for information systems procedures
Participates in system design, development, and implementation activities
Assists in creating and maintaining system documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze user requirements
Support testing and quality assurance processes
Contribute to troubleshooting and resolving system issues
Learn and apply industry best practices and methodologies in systems engineering
Intermediate -
Develops and implements complex information technology systems and applications
Applies business process improvement practices to enhance IT project efficiency and effectiveness
Evaluates hardware and software solutions to meet project requirements
Assists in establishing and maintaining standards for information systems procedures
Leads system design, development, and implementation activities
Creates and maintains comprehensive system documentation
Collaborates with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate user requirements into technical specifications
Conducts system testing and quality assurance processes
Troubleshoots and resolves complex system issues
Mentors junior team members and provide technical guidance
Stays current with emerging technologies and industry trends
Senior -
Leads the development and implementation of complex information technology systems and applications
Spearheads the application of business process improvement practices across IT projects
Oversees and conduct comprehensive evaluations of hardware and software solutions
Establishes and maintains standards for information systems procedures
Provides technical leadership in system design, development, and implementation activities
Develops and enforces best practices for system documentation and knowledge management
Collaborates with senior stakeholders to align IT solutions with business objectives
Leads system testing, quality assurance, and performance optimization efforts
Resolves critical and complex system issues
Mentors junior and intermediate team members
Stays abreast of emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions
Subject Matter Expert/SME -
Serves as the ultimate authority on systems engineering within the organization
Leads the conceptualization, design, and implementation of highly complex information technology systems and applications
Drives the adoption and evolution of cutting-edge business process improvement practices across the organization
Conducts and oversees advanced evaluations of hardware and software solutions, making strategic recommendations
Establishes and maintains enterprise-wide standards for information systems procedures
Provides expert consultation to executive leadership on systems engineering strategies and emerging technologies
Leads cross-functional teams in the delivery of mission-critical IT projects
Develops and implement innovative methodologies for system design, testing, and quality assurance
Mentors and develops systems engineering teams across the organization
Collaborates with C-level executives to align systems engineering practices with business objectives
Represents CACI as a thought leader in systems engineering at industry conferences and forums
Qualifications:
Required:
Junior –
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
0-3 years of experience in systems engineering or a related IT field
Basic understanding of systems development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies
Familiarity with hardware and software evaluation processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
U.S. citizenship required
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (level to be determined based on project requirements)
Intermediate -
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
3-8 years of experience in systems engineering or a related IT field
Strong knowledge of systems development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies
Proven experience in developing complex IT systems and applications
Proficiency in hardware and software evaluation processes
Experience with business process improvement techniques
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
U.S. citizenship required

Senior -
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
8-11 years of progressive experience in systems engineering or a related IT field
Extensive knowledge of systems development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT systems and applications
Expert-level skills in hardware and software evaluation processes
Strong experience with business process improvement techniques and their application to IT
Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
U.S. citizenship required
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (level to be determined based on project requirements)
Subject Matter Expert/SME -
Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
12+ years of extensive experience in systems engineering, with a significant portion in leadership roles
Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing complex IT systems and applications
Proven track record of applying advanced business process improvement practices to large-scale IT initiatives
In-depth knowledge of current and emerging hardware and software technologies
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization
U.S. citizenship required
Ability to obtain and maintain a top-level security clearance
Desired:
Junior –
Experience with Agile development methodologies
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles
Experience with requirements gathering and analysis tools
Basic understanding of networking concepts
Intermediate –
Master's degree in a related field
Certifications such as CISSP, PMP, or ITIL
Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies

Experience with Agile, DevOps, and other modern development methodologies
Expertise in cloud computing architectures and implementations
Strong background in cybersecurity principles and practices
Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and tools
Knowledge of government and defense IT systems
Subject Matter Expert/SME –
Ph.D. in a related field
Multiple advanced certifications (e.g., INCOSE CSEP, PMP, TOGAF)

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$62,800-$128,600
