Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic works in partnership with company leadership and Production leadership to perform basic to extensive maintenance and electrical repairs on food manufacturing machinery equipment, including conveyors, packaging equipment, vacuum sealing equipment, production equipment, electrical controls systems, and other related plant systems, while adhering to safety rules and focusing on food safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to extensive maintenance and electrical repairs on food manufacturing machinery equipment.

• Order parts and manage inventory control using CMMS.

• Understand simple drawings and wiring diagrams.

• Troubleshoot and repair all mechanical equipment in assigned areas.

• Analyze control systems to resolve software/hardware and configuration problems.

• Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment with no supervision.

• Assist with training Operators on equipment.

• Follow all safety policies and practices; proactively identify safety hazards and risks.

• Oversee and repair production-related equipment.

• Utilize root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdowns and line stoppages while collaborating with other departments.

• Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, and examine parts to detect imperfections.

• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments, repair and/or replace defective parts, and test device performance.

• Perform tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems; recondition and repair machine tools.

• Operate all plant equipment proficiently to troubleshoot and maintain as required.

• Communicate with team leaders and production associates regarding critical findings during routine inspections.

• Identify and source parts, supplies, and repair items as necessary.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $83200.00/yr.
