We are searching for the best talent for Senior Manager, MSAT COE Technology Transfer Process Strategy! This onsite/hybrid position will be in Titusville, New Jersey. Alternate onsite/hybrid locations may be considered at other Innovative Medicine Supply Chain (IMSC) sites such as Schaffhausen, Switzerland; Latina, Italy; Gurabo, Puerto Rico; Cork, Ireland; Beerse, Belgium; or Leiden, Netherlands.

The Senior Manager will be integral to the Manufacturing Science & Technology (MSAT) Center of Excellence (COE), directly contributing to the development of business and functional strategies within MSAT related to technology transfer. They will have a primary focus on shaping, driving, and optimizing the technology transfer process, with an emphasis on ensuring robust process governance to provide a framework for accountability, adherence, and continuous improvement. The Senior Manager is responsible for defining process objectives, ensuring adherence to standard methodologies, optimizing process efficiency and effectiveness, and serving as a key liaison between stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and align processes with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the technology transfer process across the product lifecycle, including New Product Introduction (NPI), secondary technology transfer, and lifecycle management, and across Small Molecule and Large Molecule Platforms.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs, to ensure effective technology transfer.

  • Work with MSAT Platforms and business leaders to improve agility in technology transfer, focusing on cost, risk, and cycle time efficiencies.

  • Communicate performance, progress, challenges, and achievements to stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.

  • Identify risks associated with technology transfer and develop proactive mitigation strategies.

  • Cultivate a culture of innovation and partnership to support the successful development and commercialization of new technologies.

  • Benchmark and collaborate with internal and external teams to uphold high standards of process execution and delivery across Manufacturing & Technical Operations (MTO).

  • Integrate Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team objectives and decision-making processes.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's / University or equivalent degree is required

Experience & Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience

  • Experience within a Manufacturing and/or Technical pharmaceutical environment

  • Demonstrated experience in technology transfers across Small Molecule (SM) and/or Large Molecule (LM) platforms

  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and industry guidelines specific for the pharmaceutical industry (e.g., FDA, GMP, ICH, etc.)

  • Strong cross-functional business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing without authority, at all levels of the organization, and managing partner relationships effectively with various stakeholders

  • Proficient in tracking process improvements and measuring business value realization

  • Effective system and process thinking capabilities, with a strategic vision aligned to organizational goals

  • Strong multitasking abilities, thriving in a complex and dynamic environment

Preferred:

  • Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP or FPX)

  • Digital competence with supply chain systems and data analysis/visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Minitab, and/or Planisware)

  • Lean, Six Sigma, or Process Excellence experience, training, or certification

  • Requires proficiency in English (written and verbal) to communicate effectively and professionally

  • Ability to work internationally across various time zones

  • May require up to 10% domestic and/or international travel, depending on project requirements

  • Requires the ability, through our flexible work policy, to work on-site a minimum of three days each week, with the option of two remote workdays each week
