Actalent Quality Engineer in Savannah, Georgia

Job Title: Quality Engineer

Job Description

As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in analyzing data from 9 different plants to identify similar quality issues, focusing on frequency, safety, and performance standards. This role requires a deep understanding of root cause analysis in a manufacturing environment and working effectively with cross-functional teams. You will be instrumental in standardizing processes and inspection methodologies across all locations. Responsibilities include supporting quality applications, collaborating on design manufacturability, providing operational support, resolving material and tolerance issues, and leading process and quality improvement efforts. Travel to various plant sites is required.

Hard Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discpline

  • Manufacturing experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline

  • Ability to read drawings and schematics

  • Root cause analysis, Lean, Six Sigma

  • Proficiency in MS Teams, Office, Excel, Word

  • Statistical analysis and Measurement System Analysis

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Savannah, Georgia.

Work Environment

This role involves both office and plant environments. Physical demands include occasional standing, walking, sitting, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision. Hearing protection is needed in the manufacturing environment. Travel is required 50-60% of the time, primarily to Statesboro.
