Our client, the City of Savannah is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team. As a Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be part of the Accounts Payable Team supporting. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, good customer service skills and be a team player which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk

Location: Savannah

Pay Range: $17.80-$25.00

What’s the Job?

• accounting clerical duties pertaining to any combination of payroll, accounts payable or receivable, or automated billing or collection.

• Maintains customer accounts and records, generates invoices for payment, verifies payment and posting of accounts, monitors delinquent account activity.

• Enters, retrieves, and reviews accounting data from the centralized financial management system or source documents.

• Coordinates input and annual update of tax rates, generation of annual tax bills; coordinates the actions required in yearly cyclical appraisal, billing, collection and distribution of taxes

• Enters, retrieves, and reviews accounting data from the centralized financial management system or source documents

What’s Needed?

• Degree in Accounting or Finance

• At least 2 years of experience in Accounting or Finance

• Strong attention to detail
